Mahindra’s electric SUVs Storm: The country’s well-known car manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has started booking its two new-born electric SUVs in India. Mahindra XEV 9e and Mahindra BE 6 crossed the figure of more than 30,000 bookings on the first day as soon as the booking started. Let’s know in detail about the price, features, delivery date, and competitors of these electric SUVs.

Bumper booking of Mahindra’s electric SUVs

Mahindra has officially stated that both these premium electric SUVs have received more than 30,000 bookings on the first day itself. With this tremendous response, XEV 9e and BE 6 have raised ₹ 8472 crore as booking amount on the first day itself. Interestingly, BE 6 has a share of 56% in these 30,000 bookings, while 44% of bookings have been for XUV 9e.

When will the delivery start

Bookings for XEV 9e and BE 6 have started from February 14. The delivery of their Pack Three variants is expected to start in mid-March 2025. The delivery of Pack Three Select and Pack Two variants will start in June 2025 and July 2025. At the same time, the delivery of entry-level variants Pack One and Pack One Above will start in August 2025.

Price of Mahindra BE 6 and XUV 9e

The ex-showroom price of Mahindra BE 6 ranges from ₹ 18.90 lakh to ₹ 26 lakh. The ex-showroom price of XEV 9e ranges from ₹ 21.90 lakh to ₹ 30.50 lakh. The special thing is that both these electric SUVs have got 5-star safety ratings in the Bharat NCAP crash test.

Battery and range

Both Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs come with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options. BE 6 gives a range of 535 KM with a small battery pack and 682 KM with a large battery pack. XEV 9e claims to give a range of 542 KM with a small battery pack and 656 KM with a large battery pack.

Who is the competition

Mahindra’s BE 6 and XEV 9e have come in the electric SUV segment. In this segment, they will compete with SUVs like Tata Curvv EV, MG Windsor EV, Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV, BYD Atto3 as well as the soon-to-be-launched Maruti E Vitara and Tata Harrier EV.
