2025 Vespa scooter range launched in India with new features, know price and details

Vespa Scooter 2025: In the highly competitive two-wheeler scooter market in India, the entity of Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited (Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited) has established itself as a luxury lifestyle brand. And has announced the launch of a new luxury scooter portfolio in the country.

Piaggio India has launched the 2025 Vespa 125 (2025 Vespa 125) and Vespa 150 (Vespa 150) scooter range with several upgrades for the new model year. The starting price of the updated Vespa scooter has been kept above Rs 1.25 lakh Which is up to around Rs two lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) for the new top-spec Tech S (Tech S) variant. 2025 Vespa Scooter: What’s New?

The 2025 Vespa range has the Standard and S variants. Moving forward, the Vespa VXL will simply be known as the Vespa, while the SXL will now be called the Vespa S. The standard version gets a more attractive design with oval headlamps and a curvy body. While the Vespa S gets a new trapezoidal headlamp unit to give it a sporty look. The same base continues to be used in the scooter, including the monocoque metal body.

The 2025 Vespa and Vespa S now offer updated 125 cc and 150 cc engines. In keeping with the upcoming emissions regulations, both units are OBD-2B compliant. The 125cc engine generates 9.3bhp at 7,100rpm and 10.1Nm of torque at 5,600rpm. Which has been connected to the CVT unit. The 150cc engine generates 11.4bhp at 7,500rpm and 11.66Nm of torque at 6,100rpm. Compared to the older version, the power and torque have increased by 0.5 bhp and 0.6 Nm.

2025 Vespa and Vespa S : New features

Except for the new engine, the base variants of the 2025 Vespa and Vespa S are largely identical. No changes have been made to the design and an analogue instrument console is also offered with a digital readout. In addition, the Base Vespa is available in seven colours. These include colours such as Verde Amabile, Rosso Red, Pearl White, Nero Black, Azuro Provenza, Blue and Pearl White, and Orange and Pearl White. The base Vespa has a starting price of over Rs 1.25 lakh.

There are also new Vespa and Vespa S Tech variants with features like keyless ignition, 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and more. Vespa Tech is available in three colours – Energico Blue, Grigio Grey and India-specific Black, which comes with bodywork on the seat and mehndi-inspired graphics. The Vespa S-Tech also has the same features, but it is only available in two colours – Nero Black (Matte) and Pearl White. The price of Vespa Tech is around Rs two lakh. The new Vespa scooter range will be launched in the country from Feb 25, 2025. The new range is slightly more expensive than other similar displacement scooters in the market. Piaggio is offering its brand at a premium, which sets it apart from the competition.
