Tata Punch EV Facelift 2026 – New Design, Bigger Battery and Premium Features in a Compact Electric SUV

Tata Punch EV Facelift 2026 – The world of electric cars is no longer limited to just mileage. People want style, technology and safety — everything together. In such a situation, the entry of Tata Punch EV Facelift makes this segment more interesting. Tata Motors has launched it with new designs, updated features and larger batteries, so that it looks more modern and practical than before.
Exterior Design
Starting from the front, the facelifted Punch EV now looks more minimal and sleek. Tata has redesigned its bumper, which is more curvy than before. The accompanying textured silver skid plate gives it an SUV-like rough-and-tuff look.
The light bar previously connecting DRLs has now been removed. It now gets a low-set, vertically stacked LED headlamp cluster, whose size has also been slightly increased.
The side profile is almost the same as before, but the new ‘Tata.ev’ badge at the front door and gray cladding instead of black gives it a light fresh touch. The quirky design of the 16-inch alloy wheels is still intact.
Dual-tone variants feature blacked-out A, B and C pillars, which bring a floating roof effect. The rear side is now given the new connected LED taillamp setup, which makes the car more premium.
Colour Options
Tata Motors has added three new colors to this facelift —Fearless Yellow, Bengal Rouge and Caramel. Apart from this, older colors like Supernova Copper, Empowered Oxide, Pure Grey and Pristine White are also found. New shades especially target youngsters who want a little extra flair in their car.
Interior & Cabin
The layout looks like an old model as soon as it sits inside. The simple dashboard, free-standing infotainment screen and dual-tone theme are still intact.
But this time the black-white is replaced with a gray-white theme, which gives the cabin a light and erry feel. The infotainment screen borders are now rounded, which seems more soft to look at.
Illuminated logo and 10-inch digital cluster with two-spoke steering wheel is the same as before. The piano-black finish and rotary gear shifter on the center console give it a premium touch.
Features
Punch EV is quite strong in terms of facelift features. It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, whose user interface is now updated.
The 10-inch digital driver display can now also show navigation. In addition, features such as voice-enabled electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charger and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay make it premium.
Facilities such as auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, air purifiers, auto-dimming IRVM and USB Type-C ports are also included.
Safety
New Punch EV comes standard with features like six airbags, ESC, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, and TPMS. Higher variants also get features like a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, blind view monitor, and rear wiper-defogger.
Battery & Range
Punch EV Facelift gets two battery options —30kWh and 40kWh. A range of 365–375 km (MIDC) has been claimed with 30kWh batteries. At the same time, 40kWh batteries give a range of up to 468 km.
Power output ranges from 88 PS to 129 PS. The 40kWh variant not only gives more range, but also better performance. Whether it is an everyday drive or a highway trip in the city, this electric SUV now sees more confidants.
Price
The price of the new Tata Punch EV Facelift starts at ₹9.69 lakhs (ex-showroom) to ₹12.59 lakhs (ex-showroom) if it comes to price. The company is also offering the Battery-as-a-Service program, in which Smart can be taken in 30 variants ₹6.49 lakh + ₹2.6 per km.
