Royal Enfield no longer wants to be limited to petrol engines. The company has begun working on electric and hybrid motorcycles in the Indian market. Interestingly, it is the first mainstream two-wheeler company to do so. In the future, the company will launch electric bikes like the Flying Flea C6 and S6. Additionally, a 250cc hybrid bike and the all-electric Himalayan (HIM-E) are also included in this list. Let us tell you in detail about these upcoming bikes from the company.
Royal Enfield’s First Electric Bike
Royal Enfield’s first electric bike, the Flying Flea C6, was first showcased at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy, in 2024. In 2025, it was also showcased in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru, and it has also been spotted testing in Ladakh. Aluminum has been used to make this bike lightweight and has a neo-retro look. The production version is expected to be unveiled at EICMA 2025 and launched in India in early 2026.
Flying Flea S6 (Scrambler EV)
Royal Enfield has also introduced the Flying Flea S6 alongside the C6. This scrambler-style electric bike is designed specifically for off-roading. It will feature spoke wheels, off-road tires, and a different handlebar setup. The company has confirmed that it will feature a fixed battery pack and fast charging technology. In terms of performance, the bike will deliver power similar to a 350cc petrol-engine motorcycle and can deliver a range of 150-200 km on a single charge.
RE 250cc Hybrid Bike
Royal Enfield is also working on petrol-hybrid technology. The company is developing a new 250cc platform codenamed ‘V’. According to reports, RE is partnering with China’s CFMoto for this. This bike will deliver impressive mileage of 50+ kmpl and will be an entry-level model. Its estimated ex-showroom price is expected to be ₹1.30 lakh. It is likely to be launched by the end of 2026.
RE Himalayan Electric (HIM-E)
Royal Enfield is also developing an all-electric version of the Himalayan, currently named ‘HIM-E’. Reports suggest that it will have a 14 kWh battery and could produce over 100 bhp. This will be the company’s most powerful electric bike to date. It was recently spotted testing in a production-ready avatar in Ladakh. The launch timeline is currently unclear, but it is expected to be launched by mid-2026.
