Hyundai Verna 2026 India Launch: Hyundai has launched the 2026 model of its most popular sedan, the Verna, in the Indian market. This new Verna not only features upgraded looks and features, but the company has also completely changed the variants’ names. The old names will now be replaced by the ‘HX’ series. Engine and Performance
The new Hyundai Verna 2026 comes only with petrol engine options, making it a great choice for driving enthusiasts. The primary option is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque. This engine is ideal for those who prefer quiet and smooth city driving.

For speed enthusiasts, a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine produces a whopping 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard with both engines. Additionally, a CVT is available with the NA engine and a superfast 7-speed DCT automatic with the turbo engine.
HX2 and HX4
Hyundai has introduced its new Verna at very competitive prices. The most affordable variant is the HX2 (base model), priced at ₹10.98 lakh. Despite being the base variant, Hyundai hasn’t compromised on safety—it offers robust features like six airbags, ABS, ESC, and hill start assist.
You also get features like halogen projector headlamps and keyless entry. Just above this is the HX4 variant, priced at ₹12.25 lakh.
