MG Majestor
Let me tell you that MG Majestor will be positioned one step above the existing Gloster. That is, it will not be just Gloster’s facelift, but a more premium, more technology-loaded and more road presence SUV. JSW MG Motor India is preparing to land it in a brand new D+ SUV segment, where a direct collision will be from a full-size and luxury SUV.
Teaser
Majestor’s look in the first official teaser released by MG completely justifies its name. It is being projected as India’s longest, widest and tallest SUV. The front features the new ‘Majestic Matrix’ grill, which gives it a distinct identity.
This is accompanied by Falcon-style LED DRLs and split headlamp setup, which gives the SUV an aggressive and modern appeal. The design is as if a bodybuilder has worn a suit, also muscular and elegant.

Maxus D90 platform
MG Majestor will be based on the Maxus D90 platform, which is a body-on-frame architecture. The same platform is known for large and rough-tuff SUVs in the global market.
However, several visual changes have been made to make Majestor different from Gloster. It will see dark grill elements, new bumpers, strong skid plates, chunky wheel arches and more apright stance. Side profiles are expected to feature 19-inch alloy wheels, while rear-facing re-designed taillamps, larger ‘Majestor’ badges and dual exhaust setups further enhance the premium character of the SUV.
Engine
Talking about the engine, Majestor is expected to have the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine, which is also used in Gloster. This engine generates power of 213 bhp and tremendous torque of 478 Nm.
It will be combined with an automatic transmission and it is likely to also provide a selectable four-wheel drive system. Although it has not yet been officially confirmed, 4WD is considered an essential feature in this segment.

Interior
MG Majestor’s cabin makes it a truly flagship SUV. It is expected to offer a 12.3-inch large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster and advanced connected car technology.
Apart from this, facilities like premium audio system, powered and ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof and three-zone climate control are also available.
