If you use a Samsung Galaxy smartphone or smartwatch and also own Mahindra’s impressive electric SUVs like the BE 6 and XEV 9e, there’s some extraordinary good news for you. Forget your car keys. Mahindra has created a unique solution that allows you to lock, unlock, and start your electric SUV using your Galaxy device. Mahindra’s electric SUVs already have a digital key feature, but now this feature has been integrated with the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem, making driving even easier and more convenient.

Mahindra’s electric SUV will be powered by a phone and a watch

Mahindra and Samsung have entered into a groundbreaking partnership. This partnership ensures that owners of the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e benefit greatly from Samsung Wallet integration. This feature takes technology and convenience to a new level and provides a modern way to control your car.

How will it work

The Samsung Wallet digital car key feature for the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e will soon be officially rolled out to all Samsung Galaxy users. With this integration, you’ll no longer need to carry your physical car key with you at all times. You’ll be able to not only lock and unlock, but also start your SUVs using your Galaxy smartphone or smartwatch.

Previously, this feature only worked through Mahindra’s Me4U app, but now it will also work through the Samsung Wallet app. The digital keys for both Mahindra electric vehicles will now be securely stored in the Samsung Wallet app. Furthermore, a remarkable feature allows users to share this digital key with another Samsung user for a limited time, making it extremely convenient for family members or friends to use the car.

Strong Security

Samsung Wallet is known for its security due to its biometric authentication. With this feature in place, there’s no need to worry about security. Samsung has created a highly secure system. If a user’s Galaxy device, which has a digital key for the BE 6 or XEV 9e, is stolen, they can instantly deactivate the key remotely using the Samsung Find service. Once the key is deactivated, no one will be able to start the Mahindra electric SUV using the stolen device, ensuring your car’s safety.

Nalinikant Golagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., and Executive Director, Mahindra Electric Automobiles Ltd., expressed his delight at this landmark partnership, saying, “Our electric SUVs – the XEV 9e and BE 6 – have captivated customers with their advanced technology and futuristic design. We are delighted to partner with Samsung, which is bringing another first-in-class feature – the digital car key – through Samsung Wallet, which will make every journey even more seamless and convenient.”
