New GST rules came into effect in the Indian market on September 22nd, benefiting not only cars but also smaller two-wheelers. Two-wheelers with an engine capacity of 350cc and below will now be charged only 18% GST instead of 28%, and the 1% cess has also been eliminated. Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India has announced that purchasing its most popular model, the Activa, has become cheaper by up to ₹8,259 following the new GST rules. The Activa 110 will see a benefit of up to ₹7,874, while the Activa 125 will see significant savings of up to ₹8,259.
Additionally, customers will also benefit from additional dealer discounts and gifts this festive season. Although the company hasn’t yet disclosed the individual prices of each variant, overall, this deal is expected to be quite attractive. Honda Activa’s Amazing Features and Specifications
The new-generation Activa H-Smart comes with a smart key that controls several impressive features. For example, the scooter will automatically lock itself when you move 2 meters away from it. It also unlocks automatically when you approach.
To fill up, you no longer need to remove the key and open the fuel lid; this can be done with the smart key. If you can’t find your scooter in a parking space, you can locate it with the smart key. Furthermore, the anti-theft function also enhances security.
This new-generation scooter also features a silent start system and a combined braking system, just like its standard variants. It also features newly designed alloy wheels. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks in the front and single-rear springs in the rear. Drum brakes are fitted on both wheels. However, the design remains unchanged.
Engine and Mileage
Honda hasn’t made any changes to the Activa H-Smart’s engine. This means it comes with the same reliable engine. The Activa is powered by a BS6 109.51cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. According to a report, the new Activa offers a mileage of 26 km per half liter of petrol, which means it can travel 52 km per liter. This mileage makes it a very economical option for everyday use.
