While alerts have been issued for heavy rain and storms with wind speeds of 60-70 km/h, several states are also expected to experience severe heatwaves. According to the latest bulletin from the Meteorological Department, severe heatwave conditions are anticipated in Western Rajasthan over the next 4-5 days.
Additionally, heatwave conditions are likely to persist in Eastern Rajasthan, as well as in adjoining regions of Central India, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. The department forecasts a possibility of severe heatwaves in Western Rajasthan for the next 6-7 days, while isolated heatwave conditions may occur in Eastern Rajasthan, Central India, Gujarat, and Maharashtra over the next 4-5 days. Weather in North-West India
In Uttar Pradesh, spells of thunderstorms and rain are expected to continue across various parts of the state on May 13.
Regarding the hilly states, alerts have been issued for moderate rainfall and snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, valid until May 14. Furthermore, a specific alert has been issued for these states regarding the possibility of hailstorms on May 13.
Weather in North-East and East India
According to the Meteorological Department, alerts have been issued for Assam and Meghalaya, anticipating heavy to very heavy rainfall between May 13 and May 17.
In Arunachal Pradesh, an alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for May 13 to May 18, with particularly heavy downpours forecast for May 17th and 18th.

According to the Meteorological Department, heatwave conditions are likely in some places across West Rajasthan from May 13 to 16, with severe heatwave conditions anticipated in isolated pockets. Furthermore, severe heatwave conditions are expected in isolated areas on May 17 and 18.
Heatwave conditions are likely in isolated areas of East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh from May 13 to 18; in Central Maharashtra and Gujarat from May 13 to 14; and in Marathwada from May 13 to 15.
