Weather Forecast: According to the Meteorological Department, weather conditions in Chhattisgarh are likely to change between May 10 and May 12. Additionally, during the period from May 10 to May 15, heatwave conditions are expected to prevail at isolated places across Western Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Eastern Rajasthan. Alerts have been issued for several states across the country in view of the possibility of heavy rainfall. Starting two days from now, warnings regarding rain, thunderstorms, and lightning strikes have been issued for several states, including Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.

Weather Forecast: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for several states across the country due to the likelihood of heavy rainfall. The department has predicted adverse weather conditions in Himachal Pradesh on May 11, 13, and 14, and in Uttarakhand between May 11 and 13. Meanwhile, in North India, intense sunshine has once again begun to prevail in the afternoon. From May 11 to May 14—spanning a period of five days—North India may witness the onset of a new spell of rain, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h.

Between May 10 and 15, heatwave conditions are expected to prevail at isolated places across Western Rajasthan, Eastern Rajasthan, and Gujarat. According to the Meteorological Department, a heatwave alert has been issued for certain locations in Western Rajasthan and Gujarat for the period between May 9 and 15. Furthermore, an alert regarding intensified severe heat has been issued for Western Rajasthan and Gujarat from May 9 to 15, 2026, and for Western Madhya Pradesh on May 12 and 13, 2026.

The Meteorological Department states that over the next seven days, alerts have been issued for several locations across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal, warning of thunderstorms with lightning, strong winds gusting at 40–60 km/h, and heavy rainfall in some areas.

 

Rain Expected in Bihar and Odisha
According to the Meteorological Department, weather patterns are expected to undergo a change in Bihar between May 10 and 12, and in Odisha from May 9 to 12. During this period, thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and strong winds of 30–50 km/h are likely. Additionally, light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in several locations.

Rain Expected in These States 
The Meteorological Department has issued a rainfall alert for Assam and Meghalaya for May 11 and 12. Meanwhile, rain is likely to occur in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on May 10. Furthermore, an alert has been issued for Arunachal Pradesh on May 12, in view of anticipated rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, and, once again, for Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on May 11–12.

Rain Expected in Jharkhand
Weather fluctuations may be observed in Jharkhand until May 13. Additionally, on May 10, strong winds are likely in several districts, including Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Ramgarh, and Khunti. There is also a possibility of lightning strikes and rain. Consequently, an ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued for the region.

 

Warning of Heavy Rain: May 11–14
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), an alert has been issued for May 10, warning of isolated to light-to-moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Furthermore, significant rainfall is expected across Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand between May 11 and May 14. Alerts regarding rainfall have also been issued for Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh for May 11–14, and for Uttar Pradesh for May 12–14.

What Will the Weather Be Like in Delhi?
The weather in Delhi is expected to remain clear for the next six days. On May 10, the skies will remain clear, and daytime temperatures could range from 35°C to 39°C; light to moderate winds are expected. According to the IMD, the weather pattern may shift on May 11 and 12. The skies are likely to remain partly cloudy, with a possibility of thunderstorms, light rain, and strong winds in the evening. The weather is expected to clear up once again on May 14.
