PM Kisan: Good news for farmers. Millions of farmers nationwide are eagerly anticipating the 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. As in previous years, Rs 2,000 will be deposited into the farmers’ bank accounts. Although the government has yet to announce the official date for the next installment, historical trends suggest that this amount could be credited to the farmers’ accounts by next month, either in June or July 2026. Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 22nd installment from Guwahati, Assam on March 13, 2026. Now, farmers are looking forward to the upcoming installment.

What is PM Kisan Yojana?

This scheme provides eligible farmer families with financial support of Rs 6,000 each year. This sum is directly transferred to their bank accounts in three installments of Rs 2,000. The aim is to assist farmers with their agricultural and related expenses.

What is required to get the next installment?

The government has made it clear that e-KYC and Aadhaar linking must be finalized. Farmers who have not completed their e-KYC may experience delays in receiving their installment payments. They can complete e-KYC online using an OTP (Optional Address). For biometric e-KYC, a visit to the nearest CSC center is necessary. Additionally, it is crucial that the Aadhaar number is linked to the bank account. Occasionally, minor technical issues or incomplete information can lead to payment delays.

Check your installment status like this

Farmers can conveniently check their installment status from home by visiting the PM-Kisan portal. To do this, navigate to the Beneficiary Status section of the website and input your Aadhaar number, mobile number, or bank account details. Complete installment information will then be displayed on the screen.

Whose installments can be stopped?

The government is currently investigating certain cases. If multiple members of the same family are benefiting from the scheme, or if funds are being transferred to both the husband and wife’s accounts, payments may be halted.

Additionally, some cases involving land purchases after February 1, 2019, are also being investigated. Farmers should update their documents in time so that the next installment can be credited to their accounts without any hassle.
