CTET 2026:— Big news has emerged for students aspiring to become teachers. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). According to the notification, the application process has commenced and will remain open from May 11 to June 10, 2026. Candidates wishing to apply for CTET may submit their applications online at ctet.nic.in by June 10.
Several changes regarding the choice of examination cities have been introduced for this edition of the CTET exam. Interested candidates can complete the application process to appear for this examination by visiting the official website, ctet.nic.in.

Application Fee Details
When filling out the CTET September 2026 application form, students applying for a single paper must pay ₹1,000, and those applying for both papers must pay ₹1,200. Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (Divyang) categories are eligible for a concession in the application fee. These candidates are required to pay ₹500 for a single paper and ₹600 for both papers. Please note that the application fee must be paid exclusively online.
Eligibility Criteria
Separate eligibility criteria have been prescribed for Paper 1 and Paper 2. To appear for CTET Paper 1, it is mandatory to have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks and to hold a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or an equivalent qualification. Furthermore, to apply for CTET Paper 2, candidates must hold a Graduation degree in addition to a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or an equivalent qualification.
