Special Trains : Good news for railway passengers. In a major boost to passengers, Western Railway has decided to operate six pairs of special trains, which will pass through Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh. The Railways issued this information in a press release on Saturday. It stated that for the convenience of passengers and to meet travel demand, under the Train on Demand (TOD) scheme, Western Railway has decided to operate special trains at special fares between Mumbai Central and Bhiwani, Mumbai Central and Shakur Basti, Bandra Terminus and Durgapura (Jaipur), Valsad and Bilaspur, Sabarmati-Delhi Junction, and Sabarmati-Delhi Sarai Rohilla.
Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, provided detailed information about the train timings, trips, days of operation, and the number of coaches. The train details are as follows.
1. Train No. 09001/09002 Mumbai Central – Bhiwani Superfast Special (Total 14 trips)
Train No. 09001 Mumbai Central – Bhiwani Superfast Special will leave Mumbai Central every Tuesday and Friday at 10.30 am and will reach Bhiwani at 13.00 pm the next day. This train will run from 09 December to 30 December.
Whereas Train No. 09002 Bhiwani – Mumbai Central Superfast Special will leave Bhiwani every Wednesday and Saturday at 14.35 pm and will reach Mumbai Central at 16.30 pm the next day. This train will run from 10 December to 31 December.
Stoppages: The train will stop at Borivali, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Chittaurgarh, Bhilwara, Bijaynagar, Nasirabad, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Bandikui, Alwar, Rewari, Kosli and Charkhi Dadri stations in both directions. The train will have AC-3 tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.
2. Train No. 09003/09004 Mumbai Central – Shakur Basti Superfast Special (32 trips)
Train No. 09003 Mumbai Central – Shakur Basti Special train will depart Mumbai Central at 10:30 am on all days of the week except Tuesday and Friday and will arrive Shakur Basti at 8:00 am the next day. This train will run from December 8 to December 29.
While Train No. 09004 Shakur Basti – Mumbai Central Special will depart Shakur Basti at 10:15 am on all days except Wednesday and Saturday and arrive Mumbai Central at 10:30 am the next day. This train will run from December 9 to December 30, 2025.
Stoppages: The train will stop at Borivali, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nagda, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bharatpur, Mathura, Kosi Kalan and Delhi Safdarjung stations in both directions. The train will have AC 3-tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class coaches.
3. Train No. 09730/09729 Bandra Terminus – Durgapura Superfast Special (will make two trips)
Train No. 09730 Bandra Terminus – Durgapura (Jaipur) Superfast Special will depart from Bandra Terminus at 10.00 am on Monday and reach Durgapura at 05.30 am the next day.
Train No. 09729 Durgapura – Bandra Terminus Superfast Special will depart Durgapura (Jaipur) at 12.25 pm on Sunday and reach Bandra Terminus at 07.00 am the next day.
Stoppages: This train will stop at Borivali, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nagda, Bhawani Mandi, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur and Banasthali Niwai stations in both directions. This train will have First AC, AC-2 Tier, AC-3 Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.
4. Train No. 08244/08243 Valsad-Bilaspur Special (will run eight trips)
Train No. 08244 Valsad – Bilaspur Special train will depart from Valsad every Friday at 16:50 hrs and arrive Bilaspur at 13:50 hrs the next day. This train will run from December 19 to January 09, 2026.
Train No. 08243 Bilaspur – Valsad Special train will depart Bilaspur every Thursday at 16:00 hrs and arrive Valsad at 13:50 hrs the next day. This train will run from 18 December 2025 to 08 January 2026.
Stoppages: The train will stop at Bhestan, Chalthan, Nandurbar, Amalner, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Akola, Barnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Raipur and Bhatapara stations in both directions. The train will have AC-2 tier, AC-3 tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.
5. Train No. 09497/09498 Sabarmati-Delhi Jn. Superfast Special (four trips)
Train No. 09497 Sabarmati-Delhi Special will leave Sabarmati on 7th and 9th December at 22:55 hrs and will reach Delhi at 15:15 hrs the next day.
Train No. 09498 Delhi-Sabarmati Special will depart from Delhi Junction at 21:00 hrs on 8th and 10th December and will reach Sabarmati at 12:20 hrs the next day.
Stoppages: The train will stop at Mehsana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Marwar Junction, Ajmer, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, Gurgaon, and Delhi Cantt. This train will have AC 3-tier coaches.
6. Train No. 04061/4062 Sabarmati-Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Sabarmati Special (two trips)
Train No. 04061 Sabarmati-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Special will leave Sabarmati on 7th December at 05:30 am and will reach Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 23:00 pm on the same day.
Train No. 04062 Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Sabarmati Special will leave Delhi Sarai Rohilla on 6th December at 08:10 am and reach Sabarmati at 00:30 pm the next day on 7th December.
Stoppages: The train will stop at Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Marwar, Beawar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, Gurgaon and Delhi Cantt stations in both directions. This train will have reserved AC 2-tier and AC 3-tier coaches
