The PM Kisan Scheme provides financial aid of ₹6,000 yearly to small farmers. It’s a central govt initiative to support agricultural families.
Indian farmers with cultivable land can apply. Families of institutional landowners or high-income taxpayers are excluded.
Farmers can register online via the PM Kisan portal or visit Common Service Centres (CSCs) with land records & ID proof.
The ₹6,000 aid is split into 3 equal instalments of ₹2,000 each, transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Aadhaar, land ownership proof, and bank details are mandatory. State-specific documents may also apply.
Farmers can check payment status on the PM Kisan portal using their Aadhaar, mobile number, or account details.
The scheme ensures direct financial support, reducing farmer dependency on loans and improving rural livelihoods.
